Cowpen Bewley Landfill Sites
Our Cowpen Bewley landfill site located north of Billingham offers non-hazardous waste disposal. The site is licensed to accept approximately 2,500,000 Cubic Metres of waste.
The site covers approximately 550 acres and is subject to an ongoing restoration programme designed to create in excess of 100 acres of wetland habitat, making this one of the largest habitat creation projects in the UK.
Current projects include the creation of a 150,000 tonnes per annum composting centre to enhance recycling opportunities and create suitable restoration materials.
